Electronic Engineer – Remote Sensing Lab
Navarro Research and Engineering, Inc. is recruiting for an Electronic Engineer – Remote Sensing Lab in Las Vegas, NV.

Perform as Engineer II for the Advanced Technologies Solutions Section of the Special Programs Department located at Remote Sensing Laboratory-Nellis. This section’s main efforts involve developing and delivering specialized instruments for customer field use. The Engineer II must be a self-starter with ability to operate with general management oversight and deliver projects on time and within budget constraints. The successful candidate will be actively involved from the initial idea development, proposal writing, technical work, progress reporting, and generation of the final report. Provide technical support, technical direction, and collaboration with other engineers and technical project team members on several projects.
The successful candidate will have wide background and experience in electronics to include: digital, analog, broadband RF, and PCB design and layout. Software Defined Radio experience is desired. Strong programming skills in the embedded micro-processor environment is preferred. Digital signal processing experience is a plus. The selected candidate will develop engineering designs for early proof of concept units that may lead to advanced prototype fabrication. Technical tasks will include, but not limited to: component selection, circuit board layout, testing, and troubleshooting at component level. The selected candidate must also work with the design team to develop customize mechanical packaging to meet the customers design requirements.
BS in Electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering.
2+ years of experience with completion and delivery of products to a customer.
Able to obtain a “Q” security clearance.
Must be able to interact with all level of customer from technical staff to executives.
Able to support occasional field events.
