Navarro Research and Engineering, Inc. is recruiting for a Senior Defense Acquisition Expert in Fort Belvoir, VA.

This position is for 12 months with the option to extend for 12 months.
The Defense Systems Management College (DSMC) is responsible to develop and sustain Executive, Requirements, and International courses. As a new requirement, DSMC has been specifically asked to conduct an assessment of current training to identify opportunities in Requirements Management curriculum to include Service specific information (as an elective option, for example) and how to interface with the Intelligence Community, and related curriculum to support the Better Buying Power (BBP) 3.0 initiative. To support this work load, DSMC requires full-time subject matter and curriculum development support with extensive knowledge and experience in all aspects of the capability requirements systems of the services, the Joint Capability Integration and Development System and familiarity with the defense acquisition system. On-site support for this effort is expected.
Work with DAU faculty in the evaluation/assessment of current requirements training curriculum for non-acquisition DoD personnel assigned to requirements organizations
Support the development of fundamental acquisition and requirements learning objectives consistent with desired levels of proficiency and performance
Develop learning content to address these fundamental learning objectives for inclusion in requirements courses
Based on an evaluation, recommend tailoring of the learning objectives and learning content developed, so they are suitable for use in mission assistance activities
Based on assessments, work with DAU faculty to develop new capability requirements learning content to address identified learning objectives for inclusion in selected DAU career field training courses
Support curriculum development of new learning assets required for the evolving Requirements Management Certification Training program to include delivering residence learning content, on-line vehicles, and practical exercises
On an annual basis, review and evaluate the course catalog and provide necessary recommendations and updates
Support needs assessment, survey of learning content resources, and Mission Assistance curriculum tailoring for deliveries to requestors across the Services and 4th Estate agencies/organizations.
Senior level Department of Defense Acquisition knowledge and experience.
